COMPUTING (Year 1 – Year 8)
COMPUTING emerges as a critical and essential component of our everyday life. It is primarily defined as any activity that uses computers to manage, process and communicate information. It includes development of both hardware and software. Computing comprises of making computer systems behave intelligently; creating and using communications and entertainment media; finding and gathering information relevant to any particular purpose, and so on. Computing branches into COMPUTER SCIENCE and ICT.
This subject introduces students to the world of modern technology. It provides immense opportunities for innovativeness and imagination. Teaching students computing helps them prepare for any number of possible careers including computer engineering, computer science, cyber security, data science, information technology and software engineering.
